It was a good shot, even if my camera is not so good. I was at the Telus store because I dropped my old cell phone a Samsung which I only use for photos and the SIM card fell out – I was telling the clerk that I hate the camera on my new cell phone – and she said they don’t even make phones anymore that’s how cheap it was – it’s an LG I think and only 2 years old – so she showed me the newest deluxe Samsung model I could get if I signed up for a data plan and the pictures on it were great with a 30X zoom lens. She said it cost $2000 but if I bought a data plan it would be $10 a month for a 2year term or $480. So I’m tempted. She said to watch for a back to school or Black Friday special.. I don’t really need an expensive data plan but would like the phone. I find a lot of stores are wanting you to download their apps now and I don’t have the room on my cheap talk and text model. I feel out of date.
I just have a flip phone and yes, everything is all about apps. I had no idea they have 30X zoom lenses on a camera phone. That’s a lot of zoom. I have 12X zoom on my digital compact and my original camera had 4X zoom and I wanted more zoom so bought this one. That’s a significant savings and look at it this way – a year or so you had considered buying a new digital compact. You asked me about mine if I remember correctly. So you’ll bypass that expense and upgrade your phone. I am officially a dinosaur in the mobile phone department.
Yes, I’ve given up on buying a new camera even a cheap point and shoot, so I’m going to do some research on it – she wrote out the model number for me. She also told me not to buy an Apple phone, even an older one, if I have a Microsoft computer, even if they are popular. Too many problems syncing stuff, which makes sense.
That’s funny, I was going to elaborate on that in the last comment. From others I have learned that you want to have ALL Apple products and each Apple product needs its own charge cord, as they are not interchangeable. Syncing is a big issue especially if you have e-mail on the phone as will. My friend Carol bought a Fitbit or one of the fitness monitors and at that time did not have a smartphone and her model had to be synced to a computer. She put it away and never used it – got the smartphone but then she had a bone chip in her foot and was advised not to walk until it healed. It’s not healed properly so the thing sits in a drawer. Good luck finding one. If you get a camera, I have always had luck with Canon cameras … never a bit of trouble with them.
I love the sun sparkling on the water – as well as your very apt caption 🙂
